The Tempe Chamber of Commerce Business Development Council proudly presents Emerging Issues Forum:Sustainability Summit. The Tempe Chamber is the only Chamber in the United States with a Sustainability Pledge program dedicated to engage and educate businesses on sustainability practices.
This event will include national and local experts, including our Keynote, Christopher Guith
, Vice President at the US Chamber of Commerce Global Energy Institute. We'll present solutions and programs to help your organization save money and resources through sustainable practices.

This annual conference brings together students, job seekers and employers from the region at one encompassing event. The EVCCA will also hold a multi-chamber networking event after the job fair from 4:30 - 6:30 pm.

Help shape Tempe's workforce to take on the challenges of tomorrow.
By the year 2020, two-thirds of jobs will require higher education. The City of Tempe and The Tempe Chamber of Commerce have launched Career Ready Tempe, an 8 week, paid summer internship program for high school juniors and seniors from the Tempe Union High School District.
The program is designed to help the City of Tempe connect income-eligible Tempe youth with resources, skills, and experience to help them become the workforce of tomorrow. This is a paid internship by the program.
Students: The application deadline has been extended to March 22, 2019.

This time of year brings a great social and economic boost to our community!
According to a 2018 study conducted by ASU W.P. Carey School of Business' Seidman Research Institute, 75.4% of attendees to Cactus League games live outside Metro Phoenix, and 76% cite the games as the "sole" or "primary factor" for making the trip to the Valley
The report estimates that out-of-state visitors to the 2018 Cactus League directly spend $315.7 million. This is a direct infusion of new revenue to the local hospitality, retail, travel, and entertainment industries.
|APS MAKES BIG INVESTMENT IN SOLAR STORAGE|
APS announced they will be adding 950 megawatts of new clean-energy technology to our system by 2025. Through three initiatives – adding battery storage to existing solar plants, building new solar-storage plants, and using storage to deliver cleaner energy to customers at times their need for energy peaks. They will increasingly power Arizona homes and businesses with solar after sunset, when it has traditionally been unavailable.
This is one of the largest solar storage initiatives in the country and, as stated in the press release, represents a major down payment on Arizona’s continued progress toward an energy future that is clean, reliable and affordable.

The City of Tempe is proud to host the 8th Annual Geeks Night Out, an Arizona SciTech Festival
Signature event, from 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20, 2019.
The free, family-friendly event is a celebration of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics (STEAM) that provides interactive, hands-on learning opportunities for our community to enjoy.

A 501(c)3 human services nonprofit since 1972, TCC has a mission to “connect those in need with those who care.” They work closely with a variety of nonprofits to address human services issues in Tempe and has an affiliation with the City of Tempe to oversee and manage the City’s human services funding distributed annually to over 40 local service providers.

Tempe Cares annual community service project will host the HELP THE HELPERS PROJECT on SATURDAY, MARCH 2, 2019, 7:00 a.m. – noon.
