With the ever-changing financial landscape of COVID-19, the Tempe Chamber provides its members with the most up-to-date and resourceful financial information. See below for funding opportunities that may still be available for you or your organization. 
LISC Small Business Relief Grants

Beginning yesterday, small businesses were able to apply for a LISC grant of up to $20,000. Applications will be reviewed based on criteria designed to prioritize particularly challenged businesses, and the final grantees will be randomly selected from the top-scoring applicants. Maricopa County Small Business/Nonprofit Grants 

The Maricopa County Small Business Relief Program is accepting applications to support the continued viability of small businesses. This program will provide up to $10,000 to qualifying organizations for expense reimbursement. Click here for more information.

Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) Loan Extension 
 
On Saturday, July 4, 2020, President Donald Trump signed an extension of the Small Business Administration Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) through August 8, 2020. Click here for more information. 
Small Business Administration Accepting New Applications for Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL)

Last month, the Small Business Administration announced it would begin accepting new applications for the Ecnonomic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) of up to $10,000. Click here for more information.

Tempe Business Roundtable 

On August 4, 2020, moderated by Councilmember Robin Arredondo-Savage, the City of Tempe will host a virtual community roundtable to discuss the current business environment in Tempe, specific challenges businesses face, programs and services available and forthcoming opportunities for help and assistance. 

Featured panelists are to include: Tempe Chamber President & CEO Anne Gill, Downtown Tempe Authority, Tempe Tourism, Local First Arizona, RAIL, and Tempe Economic Development. See here for more information. 
 
Engagement Looks Different for Every Member 

The Tempe Chamber would like to remind its members of the various ways they can get involved and engage with other members of the community. One way to grow your business is to join a leads and referrals group; Tempe Chamber Coffee Connections groups. 

Currently, our Coffee Connections Groups are in need of individuals in the following industries: 

-Auto Sales
-Cleaning
-Landscaping
-Locksmith
-Heating & A/C
-Insurance 

Outside of our lead groups, the Tempe Chamber has monthly network development events, open to the public, along with several committees to participate. City of Tempe Calls for Residents to Weigh In on Budget Cuts Due to Economic Impacts of COVID-19 

In anticipation of lower sales tax and gasoline tax revenues due to the economic impacts of the coronavirus pandemic during the 2020-21 fiscal year, which started July 1, the City of Tempe has outlined reductions in the Performing Arts and HURF funds.

Starting July 28 and going through Aug. 4, community members are invited to provide feedback on the proposed cuts via a survey available at tempe.gov/forum. Read the full City of Tempe release here. 
 
Update from Governor Doug Ducey

On July 23, 2020 Governor Doug Ducey signed an Executive Order extending the closures of bars, gyms, nightclubs, movie theaters, water parks, and tubing for another two weeks. You can find more information on Governor Ducey's website.

U.S. Small Business Administration Loan Clinic

In a recent release, the U.S. Small Business Administration announced it will be hosting a free monthly clinic to educate and inform attendees of credit requirements, interest rates, collateral terms, and amounts available. No registration is required. Click here for more information.
