EVCCA Business Impact Survey Extended Deadline 

Today the EVCAA announced they will be extending the deadline to complete the fourth COVID-19 Business Impact Survey to 9:00 am on Friday, June 5th

The surveys are used to identify the impacts on businesses which helps determine the focus of the EVCCA's recommendations to legislators. The first three surveys resulted in Impact Reports published on March 23rd, April 7th and May 8th.

State of Emergency and Curfew 

Sunday afternoon Governor Doug Ducey declared a State of Emergency including a curfew from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. The imposed curfew will remain until Monday, June 8, 2020, or unless extended. 

Shortly after the announcement, Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell and Police Chief Sylvia Moir urged compliance with the order that include exemptions included in the executive order.

Emergency Proclamation for Premises Permit Expansion

Late last week, Mayor Mark Mitchell enacted an Emergency Proclamation that allows for businesses to apply for an expansion of premises permit at no cost.

This permit will allow businesses to expand into the right of way, their parking lots or other various spaces. To read more about this proclamation, click here. 
City of Tempe Recovery and Reopening Timeline

The City of Tempe has put together a structured reopening plan using the federal gating criteria and with the community's health and safety in mind. 

The current target date to reopen city facilities is Monday June 15th. To read more information about the plans, visit the city's Recovery and Reopening webpage.
 
Public Health Update - May 28, 2020

Last week, Governor Doug Ducey and Arizona Department of Health Service Director Dr. Cara Christ provided Arizonans with a public health update and additional guidance for the continuance of organized youth sports and other activities.

Governor Doug Ducey Announces AZCares Fund

Late last week, Governor Doug Ducey announced that nearly $600 million will be go to local Arizona governments and Nonprofits as part of a new funding plan; The AZCares Fund.

SBA PPP Loan Forgiveness Application and Instructions

The SBA, in consultation with the Department of the Treasury, released the Paycheck Protection Program Loan Forgiveness Application and instructions for the application.
