Tempe Chamber Welcomes New Team Member
The Tempe Chamber of Commerce has hired Ayrianna Drayton to serve as the Marketing and Event Coordinator. Drayton will expand and execute marketing campaigns as well as assist with social media postings across all platforms.
In her new role, Drayton will be responsible for the development, coordination, implementation, and maintenance of marketing and event campaigns. Her role is vital to enhancing and promoting the Chamber’s membership base, programs, special events, and brand. Her education and experience in both events and marketing has prepared her for this new role at the Chamber.

Exhibit Affects Inc., the Valley's premier provider of custom trade show exhibits and marketing displays celebrates our 30th year anniversary in the exhibit and trade show industry. 

End of May 2019, Exhibit Affects (EA) will be relocating from its 14,000 sq. ft. facility in Tempe to a new facility with the expansion to 28,000 sq. ft. We will be relocating to The Clusters at 2404 W. 14th St in Tempe.

Yoga for Today Offers Special Summer Class
Join Michele to learn about Early Summer, the Fire Element. Class starts with a standing Qi-Gong practice. Then we sit to talk about the different components of Early Summer. The climate, direction and color before moving onto and into our bodies through the senses and organs. Class finishes with a yoga practice and mediation. All levels are welcome.

Downtown Tempe Authority has organized the “Hard Hat Thursdays” which includes weekly promotions, specials and deals for customers.

Every Thursday from May 16 through August 15, a different downtown business will be featured along with their specials, and DTA is running weekly gift card giveaways both online and on the streets.

Tempe Streetcar Construction Update
  • 9th Street & 11th Street west of Mill Avenue: Electrical upgrades for traffic signals may cause intermittent turn restrictions/closures.
  • Apache Blvd from Gammage Curve to Rural Road: Concrete preparation work for the Overhead Catrenary System foundations continues, along with electrical upgrades. Traffic will be maintained in both directions. Expect sidewalk/crosswalk detours.
  • Apache Blvd from Rural Road to Cedar Street: Road widening work continues near Terrace Boulevard and concrete preparation work for the Overhead Catenary System foundations continues. Traffic will be maintained in both directions. Expect turn restrictions, metered parking restrictions and possible sidewalk/crosswalk detours.
  • Rio Salado Parkway: Road widening efforts continue along Rio Salado Parkway with minor, intermittent turn restrictions.
  • Downtown Mill Avenue: Track installation began on Mill Avenue between University Drive and Rio Salado Parkway on May 13. Click here to view the construction notice.
