Representative Greg Stanton Receives Honor
US Representative Greg Stanton was named an AbilityOne Congressional Champion at TCH On May 29, 2019.

An AbiltiyOne Champion demonstrates a commitment to the preservation of the AbiltiyOne Program which is the largest single provider of jobs for individuals that are blind or have significant disabilities. 

TCH has been an AbilityOne service provider for over 25 years providing food services, custodial, ground maintenance and total facilities management various military bases throughout Arizona
TCH Recieves ASU Sustainability Award
On May 28th, TCH received The ASU President’s Award for Sustainability. TCH partners with Arizona Fashion Source and ASU to re-purpose ASU banners into reusable bags. This project is part of TCH employment services, providing jobs and job training for individuals with disabilities.
The President’s Award for Sustainability recognizes ASU faculty and staff who have worked as departmental, interdepartmental or trans-disciplinary teams that have demonstrated excellence in fostering sustainability at Arizona State University. This award recognizes the development, implementation and promotion of sustainability principles, solutions, programs and services. 
Celebrate June Dairy Month Festival with Milk n More
In celebration of June Dairy Month, Milk n More has all things dairy for guests to have fun, learn about Arizona dairy farming and sample healthy, delicious and most importantly farm-fresh dairy products. The Milk n More Festival will host a cheese curd eating contest, face painting, product sampling, raffle prizes, and a cooking demonstration.

During this June 16th workshop, led by co-founder Brian Stinson, you will learn how to create a values-based culture, develop a timeline for investing in organizational culture, and ultimately create a healthy and high-performing team.

Southbound 101 Major Roadway Improvements
ADOT is adding one new travel lane in each direction between Baseline Road and the Loop 202 (Santan Freeway). The project also includes widening the northbound Loop 101 bridge at Chandler Boulevard, modifying on- and off-ramps, paving with rubberized asphalt and other improvements.

Drivers who use this 6.4-mile section of the Loop 101 should plan for restrictions and closures through summer 2020 while construction is underway. Learn more about the project and see a visual simulation on the project webpage. 
Don Carlos Award Nominations are Open!
Tempe Community Council is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Don Carlos Humanitarian of the Year, Volunteer, Impact, Philanthropy and Young Humanitarian awards.

Community members can submit a nomination for any of the awards online. The deadline for submitting a nomination is June 16, 2019.

DTA Introduces "Hard Hat Thursdays"
Downtown Tempe Authority has organized the “Hard Hat Thursdays” which includes weekly promotions, specials and deals for customers.

Every Thursday from May 16 through August 15, a different downtown business will be featured along with their specials, and DTA is running weekly gift card giveaways both online and on the streets.
